While I am a strong supporter of renewable energies , today it is unrealistic for them to completely replace the use of all fossil fuels without the potential for astronomically high prices or limited energy availability . Balancing abundancy , affordability and sustainability of energy is incredibly difficult , and natural gas will remain an important piece of the pie that will serve alongside alternative energy sources .
